SENSOR SEGMENT

Energy Harvesting Generator (EHG)

Energy Harvesting Generator (EHG) is a micro generator that acts as a strong magnetic sensor by steadily detecting the inversion of the external magnetic field and producing pulse voltage which can be used to power an electrical circuit. EHG produces electricity and powers the multiturn counter so battery can be eliminated. Battery-less multiturn design provides more compactness, reduces the wear, and increases the accuracy.

Energy Harvesting Magnetic Encoders uses the Wiegand effect to generate energy from a rotating magnetic field. An encoder can be used in machine control applications requiring motor feedback and positioning systems that needs precise location and velocity sensing.

FEATURES

No Power Required

Pulse voltage generated by EHG can detect the inversion of magnetic field.

Pulse Output

EHG can output pulses without dependence on the migration speed of a magnetic field.

Operating Range

EHG can operate in a temperature range of -40C to 120C

APPLICATIONS

Rotary Sensors and Strong Wind Sensors

Flow meters enable the simplification of peripheral circuit responding to zero speed.

Vibrating Power Generators

LED indicator lights

Pulse Detectors

Also useable as a current sensor

Magnetoresistive Sensor (MR Sensor)

MR Sensor is an arrangement of elements with the printed circuit chip as the main element to read any magnetic printed matters. These chips are called MRS Chip which is made up of Indium Antimonide (InSb), a narrowed gap semiconductor material commonly used in infrared and thermal imaging applications.

This device comes in different sizes and shape to fit different models and designs with limited space for any detector devices. It is suitable for detecting the magnetic pattern of magnetic printed matter and gear rotation and position. One of the several applications of MR Sensor is Currency Discrimination Counter (CDC) for which the magnetic film embedded on a currency is read by the device determining its value and genuity. Unlike other magnetoresistive sensors, this product can be customized in terms of its specification to fit customers’ requirements.

Nikkoshi manufactures 2 types of MR Sensors:

Single-type MR Sensor

This is a single channel MR sensor that can detect not just a specific area, but also an extensive area when numerous sensors are combined.

Multi-type MR Sensor

This is a multi channel MR sensor that detects a vast range with just one unit.
