EHG TECHNICAL INFORMATION

EHG generates an output through the movement of a single magnet and its combination with magnets enables a wide range of applications. Our generators are mounted on the rotary encoders for the motors that drives industrial robotic arms. They can detect the rotational frequency and accuracy of motors and generate power magnetically to drive ICs.

HOW TO USE

Direction of Linear Motion

It is designed for proximity sensors, opening/closing sensors, and security devices.

Direction of Reciprocal Motion

It can be utilized on a wide range of industrial equipment, including malfunction preventive devices.

Detection of Rotary Motion

It can be used to prevent the failure of industrial motors, flow meters, speed meters, and rotating bodies, as well as rotation sensors to prevent chattering.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

In this illustration, a detection coil is wrapped around a composite magnetic wire. The inner magnetic property distribution of the wire has two structures: a soft magnetic layer on the outside and a hard magnetic layer on the inner side.

The rotator rotates and the inverted external magnetic field becomes stronger.

Large Barkhausen Jump

If an inverted external magnetic field exceeds a certain value, the Large Barkhausen Jump in which the magnetization direction outside the magnetic wire inverts at once occurs. The change in the magnetic field at this time is detected as a pulse voltage using a coil. Regardless of the change rate of the external magnetic field, constant pulse voltage is generated at all times. Even in the case of slow magnetic field change such as once a day, no chattering occurs.
